Hsun-ok, container for food offerings. Made up of five individual parts: 1). stand with bowl, 2). inner tray, 3). lid with spire, 4). hintha-bird finial, 5). terminal. The stand, bowl and cover are externally decorated with gold lacquer over thayo decoration and with further designs of inset coloured glass and spangles. The thayo decoration on the stand and lid includes fine examples of mythical animals. The wings and tail of the hintha-bird finial are lacquered metal. The interior of the container is lacquered scarlet and black. Made of woven, split bamboo, moulded thayo decoration, inlaid glass and lacquer. One of a pair.
