Usage
[แก้ไข]This template may be used in the "References" and "Further reading" sections of entries and on talk pages to provide a citation to E. Cobham Brewer's work Dictionary of Phrase and Fable (new edition, 1895, 2 volumes). It can be used to create a link to online versions of the work at the Internet Archive:
- Volume I (pages 1–720; A–Labourer is Worthy of His Hire).
- Volume II (pages 721–1440; Labourers–Zulfagar; bibliographical appendix).
Parameters
[แก้ไข]The template takes the following parameters:
|1=or|entry=– the entry in the work cited. If not specified, the name of the Wiktionary entry is used.|2=or|page=, or|pages=– the page number(s) on which the entry appears. When quoting a range of pages, note the following:- Separate the first and last pages of the range with an en dash, like this:
|pages=10–11. - You must also use
|pageref=to specify the page number that the template should link to (usually the page on which the Wiktionary entry appears).

- This information must be specified to have the template link to an online version of the work.
|column=, or|columns=– the column number(s) of the work cited. If a passage cited spans both columns, either omit this parameter or separate the columns of the range with an en dash, like this:|columns=1–2.|3=,|text=, or|passage=– a passage quoted from the work.|nodot=– by default, the template adds a full stop (period) at the end of the citation. To suppress this punctuation, use|nodot=1or|nodot=yes.
