Usage
[แก้ไข]This template may be used in "References" sections and on talk pages to cite John Camden Hotten's works A Dictionary of Modern Slang, Cant, and Vulgar Words (1st edition, 1811), and a subsequent version entitled The Slang Dictionary; or, The Vulgar Words, Street Phrases, and Fast Expressions of High and Low Society (1864). It can be used to create a link to online versions of the works at Google Books at the Internet Archive:
- 1st edition (archived at the Internet Archive).
- 1864 version.
Parameters

– mandatory in some cases: if quoting from the 1864 version, specify|year=1864
. If this parameter is omitted, the template defaults to the 1st edition (1859).|chapter=
– if not quoting from the dictionary, the name of the chapter quoted from.|1=

– if quoting from the dictionary, the name of the entry. If this is not specified, the template uses the name of the Wikipedia entry.|noformat=
– the template capitalizes the entry name as indicated in the works. To override this formatting with some other wikitext markup, use|noformat=1

– mandatory in some cases: the page number(s) quoted from in Arabic or lowercase Roman numerals, as the case may be. If quoting a range of pages, note the following:- Separate the first and last page number of the range with an en dash, like this:
