This reference template is generally used in the ===Further reading=== section. It allows several optional parameters.

Parameters

|head= or |1=

The name of the entry with in the dictionary being referenced

|page= or |2=

To indicate the page that is being referred to.

|pages=

When there are several pages being referred to.

|passage= or |3=

The particular text of the passage being quoted.
